England-born midfielder of Ghanaian descent, Kwaku Frimpong was the hero for AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday when the team defeated Crawley Town 3-2 in the English Football League Two.

The central midfielder last year suffered an injury setback that derailed his development and career.

Fit and in good shape, the player started for his AFC Wimbledon yesterday when the team locked horns with the matchday nine opponent of the ongoing 2022/23 league season.

On the matchday, Kyle Hudlin converted a penalty kick in the 29th minute to shoot AFC Wimbledon into the lead.

Although the team will dominate and go into the break with the lead, a 59th-minute striker from Jack Powell restored parity for the visitors.

In the exciting contest that ensued from there on, a strike from Ghanaian midfielder Kwaku Frimpong settled the game to give AFC Wimbledon a 3-2 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
