Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Mensah joins Egyptian outfit Petrojet SC

Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Mensah has completed a move to Petrojet Sporting Club on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old year old defensive midfielder joins the Egyptian Division 2 outfit on a six-months deal.

The former Bechem United skipper left Iraqi top-flight side Naft Maysan in December after a short spell with the side he joined in September 2021.

Mensah who joined Petrojet is keen on aiding the side return to top-flight next season as they last competed in the 2018/2019 season.

Petrojet occupies the 4th spot on the Egyptian Second Division with 27 points from 15 games.

He spent two seasons in the Egyptian Premier League with Aswan SC before their relegation in the 2021/2021 season.

He also had stints with Shabab Al Sahel in the Lebanese Elite League, Tema Youth FC, Fairpoint FC and Ghana Premier League side Bechem United winning the 2016 MTN FA Cup.
