Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey features in Atletico Madrid win over Real Mallorca

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey was in action for Atletico Madrid as they defeated Iddrissu Baba and Lumor Agbenyenu's Real Mallorca 2-0 in the Spanish La Liga on Wednesday night. 

Partey and Agbenyenu lasted the entire duration of the game with Iddrisu Baba replaced in the 68th minute at Iberostar Stadium.

The Rojiblancos took the lead in the 26th minute through Spain international Diego Costa after rising higher to head in Koke's cross.

Portuguese prodigy Joao Felix doubled the visitors' lead in the 64th minute with his left-footed shot taking a massive deflection into the net.

Abdon Prats replaced Ghana's Baba Iddrissu in the 67th minute of the game.

Alvaro Morata came on for former Chelsea forward Diego Costa and lasted only seven minutes after he was red-carded in the 77th minute.

Ghanaian left-back Baba Rahamanwas an unused substitute for Real Mallorca.
