Ghanaian player Richard Boateng signs for Spanish lower tier side Alcorcón on loan

Ghanaian player Richard Boateng has joined Spanish lower tier side Alcorcón on loan til the end of the season.

Boateng joins the side from fellow Spanish side Real Oviedo after failing to command a starting place in the team.

The move is to help the 26-year-old revive his career in the Segunda división.

Both clubs have issued a statement to confirm the agreement between the two parties.

"Real Oviedo and player Richard Boateng have agreed, at the request of the player, his assignment to the AD Alcorcón until June 30." In addition, it is recalled that the Ghanaian media has a contract with the blue team until June 30, 2020.

Boateng said after joining the new side: "When I had the option to come here, I found it very interesting" and added that "the team is very well and has a project that I like to be part of it."

He joined Real Oviedo with a high-profile after scoring 1 goals in 31 games for Union Deportiva Melilla.

He has featured in a total of 13 matches, accumulating a total of 522 minutes under the orders of Juan Antonio Anquela.

In addition, he has been a starter on six occasions, although he has not started a match since last September against Elche.
