Ghanaian players abroad were in action over the weekend, with Joseph Paintsil getting his first goal of the season for Genk in a draw against St. Truiden.

Inaki Williams continued his fine start to the season with a goal and an assist to see Athletic Club beat Alaves 2-0.

Premier League Round 8

Jordan Ayew shrugged off the injury he suffered a week ago to return and play the full 90 minutes for Crystal Palace in a goalless draw against Fulham. Jeffrey Schlupp lasted 70 minutes before he was subbed off.

Thomas Partey was again absent for Arsenal as they drew 2-2 against Tottenham because of injury. Eddie Nketia lasted the entire game.

Mohammed Kudus came on after the 74th minute as West Ham United lost 3-1 against Liverpool.

Tariq Lamptey was a late sub as Brighton beat Bournemouth 3-1. Antoine Semenyo came on after the hour mark to play 26 minutes for Bournemouth.

Inaki Williams scored and assisted for Athletic Club in their 2-0 win over Alaves.

Joseph Aidoo was an unused substitute as Celta Vigo lost 3-2 at Barcelona.

Baba Iddrisu was a second-half substitute for the final 15 minutes as Almeria drew 2-2 against Valencia.

Abdul Mumin was once again an unused substitute for Rayo Vallecano in a 1-1 draw against Villarreal.

Serie A round 5

Forward Caleb Ekuban came on for the final 13 minutes as his side Genoa lost 1-0 at Lecce.

Emmanuel Gyasi was an unused substitute for Empoli as they suffered a 1-0 loss against Inter Milan.

Alfred Duncan played 15 minutes for Fiorentina in their 2-0 win over Udinese.

Ibrahim Sulemana was subbed off after an hour as Cagliari were beaten 2-0 at Atalanta.

Bundesliga round 5

Defender Patric Pfeiffer assisted and lasted 72 minutes for Augsburg in their 2-1 win over Mainz.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei played 77 minutes for Bochum as they lost 7-0 at Bayern Munich.

Jeremie Frimpong lasted 79 minutes as Leverkusen beat Heidenheim 4-1.

Kofi Kyereh has still not returned from his injury for Freiburg as they were held to a goalless draw by Frankfurt.

French Ligue 1 round 6

Mohammed Salisu was still missing for Lens as they suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Nice. Salisu is on the sidelines because of a groin injury.

Ernest Nuamah was subbed off after 52 minutes as Lyon lost 1-0 to Brest.

Alidu Seidu again but in a good shift for Clermont Foot but they lost 2-1 at Le Havre. Grejohn Kyei was a late substitute in the game for Clermont.

Lens and Salis Abdul Samed finally won a game this season after seven attempts. Salis lasted the entire game for Lens in the 2-1 win over Toulouse.

Belgium Pro League Round 8

Joseph Paintsil scored his first goal of the season for Genk to ensure a comeback from 3-0 to draw at full time, adding to his three assists.
