Ghanaian prodigy Samuel Owusu on target as FK Čukarički defeat FK Spartak Subotica

Ghanaian youngster Samuel Owusu put up an impressive performance and also scored in FK Čukarički's 2-1 win over FK Spartak Subotica in the Serbian Premier League on Saturday.

FK Čukarički have began the second of round of the league in superb fashion after smashing FK Vozvodac 3-0 last week with some breath-taking football.

The visitors were handed the initiative in the 26th minute of the game by Ognjin Mudrinski.

The 22-year-old Ghanaian midfielder doubled his side's lead in the 43rd after he brilliantly turned in Marko Docic’s cross of the game.

FK Spartak Subotica came out strongly in the second half and deservedly grabbed a consolation goal courtesy substitute forward Dejan Djenic in the 86th minute of the match.

Owusu joined Čukarički on a three-year deal and received the number 19 shirt. He scored four times in 30 games during the 2017–18 Serbian SuperLiga.

He has previously played for Turkish side Gençlerbirliği where he made three appearances in the 2016–17 Turkish Cup, scoring one goal in a 6–0 home victory over Amed.
