Ghanaian quartet at Columbus Crew fail to go past Toronto FC in Eastern Conference game

Ghanaian quartet Jonathan Mensah, Mohammed Abu, Harrison Afful and Lalas Abubakar failed to help their side Columbus Crew progress to the next stage of the MLS Eastern Conference trophy.

Crew lost 1-0 to Toronto FC in the second leg encounter played on Wednesday.

The Black and Gold conceded on the hour mark with a striker from Jozy Altidore to lose 1-0 on aggregate after a 0-0 first leg.

Lalas, who played in a left back role, was replaced after 73 minutes and midfielder Abu lasted 83 minutes.

Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful played the full throttle of the game.
