Ghana U-23 striker Daniel Lomotey is set to leave the shores of the country ahead of a proposed move to a club in Azerbaijan, according to reports coming from the Black Meteors camp.

The 20-year-old hitman was an integral part of coach Jimmy Cobblah's Black Satellites team that exited the group stages of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Niger in February where he bagged two goals in three games.

Lomotey was among a host of locally based players invited into the national U-23 side and has been in camp for the past two weeks but with less than three days to Ghana’s crucial game with Gabon on Saturday, the WAFA forward has left the camp to secure a move in the European country.

The Black Meteors will be looking to record an emphatic victory against Gabon to enhance their chances of qualifying to the next round of the qualifiers.
