Emile Acquah started the game at the SO Legal Stadium and lasted 81 minutes.

After 29 minutes, Dom Telford's goal moved Pete Wild's team up to eighth place and prevented the Shrimps from closing the gap on leaders Stockport to two points.

Telford seized on Emile Acquah’s header to break the deadlock.

Joel Senior, who had already received a booking from referee Benjamin Speedie, was fortunate to avoid receiving another yellow for a foul on Elliot Newby, allowing Morecambe to maintain 11 men on the field.

Barrow doubled their advantage on the resumption after Senior was replaced at the half. Shrimps captain Farrend Rawson stopped Telford's follow-up after keeper Adam Smith had blocked Acquah's attempt.

Barrow will play Bradford in their next league game.
