Ghanaian striker Jonah Osabutey on target as Royal Excel Mouscron beat Zulte Waregem

Ghanaian striker Jonah Osabutey scored for Royal Excel Mouscron in their 2-1 win over Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League over the weekend.

The 21-year-old, who lasted the entire duration of the game put up an impressive performance as he helped his side secure all three points at the Rainbow Stadium.

Osabutey opened the scoring for Royal Excel Mouscron in the 31st minute of the game before Aleix Garcia doubled their advantage, five minutes after the recess.

Davy de Fauw halved the deficit for Zulte Waregem from the penalty spot in the 57th minute.

Royal Excel Mouscron held on to seal an important away victory as they moved to the 10th postition on the league table with 33 points after 26 matches played so far this term.

His compatriot Gideon Mensah played full throttle for Zulte Waregem and was shown a yellow card for an offence.

Osabutey joined Royal Excel Mouscron on loan from German side Werder Bremen.

He has made 21 appearances for the Belgian side, scored five goals and registered three assist in all competitions so far this term.
