Ghanaian teenager Richard Duke-Abaidoo joins South African side Sternberg United FC

Richard Duke-Abaidoo, a Ghanaian teenager has decided to take his talents abroad by completing a move to South African division one side Sternberg United.

Duke-Abaidoo, who started his footballing career in Ghana, made the switch to South Africa from Ghanaian Division 2 club Soccer Elites on a one-year deal. Soccer Elites are based in Ekumfi-Atakwa.

Before making his dream a reality, he had to go through some trials which took about two weeks. He hugely impressed the technical staff of Sternberg United who did not hesitate to secure his services.

“I am very glad for this move. It is a perfect platform for me to market myself,” Duke-Abaidoo told SPORTSworldGhana.com.

“I am hoping to do my best by scoring goals to help the club move up the log,” he added.

The youngster will hope to make a mark in his new club.
