Ghana international Latif Blessing registered an assist as Los Angeles FC extended their unbeaten start in the 2019 Major League Soccer season.

Los Angeles FC held New York City FC to a 2-2 draw in the matchday three of the American top-flight league at the Yankee Stadium.

Blessing set-up the equalizer scored by Carlos Vela on the stroke of halftime after Alexandru Mitrita has opened the score on the 39th minute.

After the recess, Alexander Ring restored the lead for the home side on the 62nd minute of the game before a 76th-minute penalty awarded to Los Angeles FC was neatly converted by Carlos Vela.

The 22-year-old played the full throttle of the match whiles his compatriot Ebenezer Ofori played 46 minutes.

The former Liberty Professionals talisman has made three appearances for Los Angeles FC so far in their 2019 MLS campaign.

In December 2017, the highly-rated youngster was selected by Los Angeles FC with the second selection of the 2017 MLS Expansion Draft. He made his debut for the club as a starter in their first MLS match, a 1–0 victory at Seattle Sounders.

Blessing was included in the provisional squad for Ghana before the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations but failed to make the final cut.
