Ghanaian youngster Ahmed Awua delighted to sign first professional contract with Parma Calcio

Ghanaian youngster Ahmed Awua has expressed his delight after signing his first professional contract with Parma Calcio on Monday.

The 20-year-old has penned a two-and-half-a-year after successful negotiations.

Awua, who has been with the club since age 16 has been very impressive hails from Yamfo in the Tano North of the Bono region.

"To be honest, this feels really good for me and my family," he said.

"I’ve been at the club since I was sixteen and I’ve worked so hard to come this far, so I’m just happy that I’ve been given the opportunity to push on to be a professional.

"It is my wish to repay the faith this club and coaches, as well as everyone here, have in me in the near future," he added.

Awua was scouted by Arthur Legacy.

He joins AS Roma teenager Felix Afena-Gyan as the talents Ghana will have to look out for in the future.
