Ghanaian youngster Appiah-Forson shines as West Ham U-23 defeat Valencia

Ghanaian midfielder Keenan Appiah-Forson put an incredible performance for West Ham United’s U23 side as they defeated Spanish La Liga side Valencia ‘B’ team 1-0 in the Premier League International Cup.

West Ham United U-23 side opened up their Premier League International Cup Group B campaign with a slim win over the Spanish side.

Appiah-Forson, who has been instrumental for West Ham U-18 team was named in the starting XI of the U-23 side for the first time following his impressive display and was a delight to watch for the entire duration of the game.

An early strike from Nathan Holland was enough to separate the two sides at the Chigwell Construction Stadium in a tense encounter.

The win propelled West Ham to the top of Group B table, with Brighton & Hove Albion and VfL Wolfsburg of Germany yet to play.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian shot-stopper Joseph Annan Tetteh also featured in the game.
