Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has expressed his excitement after making an injury return over the weekend in Celtic's 2-1 away win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League.

The 19-year-old was an unused as Neil Lennnon's men moved 10 points clear in first after a seventh league win in a row.

Frimpong has not featured for the Hoops since he was stretchered off in the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.

He was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge by Alan Power on January 22 and has since been on the sidelines.

Ash Taylor cancelled out Celtic's Callum McGregor's opener, before Ajer settled it late on.

After the game, he took to twitter to express his excitement after returning from injury.

"Back in the squad. 3 plus points. Big week ahead for the Celts," the 19-year old tweeted after the game at Aberdeen.

He was included in the Europa League squad for the last-32 tie against Copenhagen after a stunning breakthrough in the first half of the campaign.
