Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster, Jeremie Frimpong emerged as the ‘Man of the Match’ after helping his Celtic side thrash Partick Thistle F.C. 5-0 on Wednesday evening in the Scottish Cup.

The two clubs locked horns at the Celtic Park yesterday seeking to progress to boost their chances of qualifying to the last round of the competition at the end of the day.

Following a one-sided affair, Celtic demolished their guests by five goals to nothing with Jeremie Frimpong putting up a five-star performance.

The former Manchester City teenager was marking his debut for the club after completing his move to the club in the summer transfer window.

Frimpong, now just 18 years of age, was rock solid at the back and helped Celtic’s defense to keep a clean sheet.

Following an outstanding performance, the Ghanaian is in contention to be given another start when the Scottish giants take on Hibernian in the Scottish League on Saturday morning.
