Ghanaian youngster Junior Safo has committed his future to Portuguese side Futebol Clube de Vizela after establishing himself in the U-18 side in 2019/20.

The 18-year-old has penned a three-year deal with the club after successful negotiations.

Safo joined the Portuguese lower-tier side from Rising Stars of Africa, a renowned academy located in the capital of Ghana, Accra.

The offensive midfielder was one of the most consistent players of the Vizela U-18 set up.

"I am very happy to remain at the club. I want to continue to learn and grow here," Safo said after signing the contract.

"My expectations for the next season are to help my colleagues, fight for my opportunities, and, who knows, score goals, something I really like to do."
