Ghanaian youngster Kwame Poku joins Peterborough on four-year deal

English Championship side Peterborough have completed the signing of Ghanaian youngster Kwame Poku in the ongoing summer transfer window from Colchester United.

He has penned a four-year deal with the club after passing his medical.

The 19-year-old completed the paperwork at the idverde Training Ground on Monday morning and will train with his new teammates with the opening Sky Bet Championship fixture at Luton Town on Saturday.

Poku, who made his Ghana debut last term for two Africa Cup of Nation qualifiers, made 75 appearances for Colchester, scoring six goals. His last two goals for the club came in a 3-0 win over Carlisle United in March.

The highly-rated midfielder will wear the number 15 shirt.
