Ghanaian youngster Mohammed Salisu stars in Real Valladolid's win over Mallorca

Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu put up a Man of the Match performance for Real Valladolid as they defeated Real Mallorca 3-0 in La Liga on Sunday.

Salisu, who was handed his first Black Stars call-up by coach Kwesi Appiah, played full throttle as the White and Violets picked up the maximum points at the Jose Zorilla stadium.

Valladolid took the lead through Joaquin Fernandez Moreno in the 40th minute of the game.

After the recess, Enes Unal doubled the lead the home side's lead from the spot before Sandro Ramirez completed the scoring after netting late into injury time.

The 20-year-old was a rock at the heart of defence, helping his side keep a clean sheet

His impressive performances this season in La Liga earned him a call-up to the Ghana team for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
