In-form Ghanaian goalkeeper Razark Abalora shined in his side's 1-0 win over Mbeye City in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League.
The first choice for Azam FC had the nod to start for coach Hans van-der Pluijm's side after serving two match ban following a red card he received against Kagera Sugar FC in the AFSC quarter finals.
Abalora, 22, left the away fans smiling for his superb and stupendous saves that deny Mbeye City an opener, having triggered in the early minutes of the game in search of goal.
His splendid performance inspired the away side to end the half with a 1-0 lead advantage. A corner ball that spotted Ghanaian star Yakubu Mohammed in the 18-yard box, finishing with a world class right foot tap.
After the recess, Mbeye City pressured Azam for the equaliser, however, Razark Abalora would always be there to save dead ball situations.
The youngster made two crucial saves to help his side pick all points to maintain in the top three spot.
Currently Azam are second with 63 points after 30 round of matches, whiles Young Africans are sitting at the summit of the table with 74 points.
Azam FC will now face Ndanda in an away game on Thursday.
