The defensive midfielder has moved with the team to Bormio where training has intensified.
The former Parma player is ready to impress coach Walter Mazzarri and his charges in the pre-season.
He was a key cog for The Maroons after making 22 appearances and scoring once in the 2017/18 season.
Afriyie is one of the experienced members in the team following his stints at Palermo, Sampdoria and Parma in the Italian Serie A.
