Ghana international Richmond Boakye Yiadom put up a man of the match performance in Red Star Belgrade’s win over FK Zenum in Serbia Superleague.

The 25-year-old striker came on as a substitute in the 72 minutes and just before the referee whistled for the end of the match, he gave an amazing pass to former Chelsea player Marko Marin who wasted no time to nod home Red Star Belgrade’s second goal of the match that secured their win.

The win maintains Red Star Belgrade dominance in the Serbia Super league by sitting on top of the league table with 24 points.

The prolific goalscorer has featured in three matches and has scored 3 goals with two assists this season.

Ghana will host Sierra Leone in the first leg of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) qualifiers next week Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The team is set to begin training ahead of the clash on Monday with the 21 players invited expected to arrive between Monday and Wednesday.

Boakye, who is part of the 21 players invited by the head coach Kwasi Appiah thereby goes to the Black Stars camp in the form of his life and would be expected to replicate his form by helping Ghana beat Sierra Leonen.
