Ghana's Dennis Appiah lauds FC Nantes teammates after hard-fought victory over Stade Rennias

Ghanaian defender, Dennis Appiah has lauded his FC Nantes teammates following their hard-fought win against Stade Rennias on Wednesday.

Nantes came from behind to secure a 2-1 win at the Stade de La Beaujoire in the French Ligue 1.

Flavien Tait broke the deadlock for the away side in the 32nd minute of the game.

However, Kalifa Coulibaly struck in the 45 minutes before Nicolas Pallois sealed the win in the 71st minute.

The win leave Nantes at the 9th position with 54 points.

Speaking after the game, the promising defender lauded his teammates for the hard-fought win.

"It was a great game," Appiah said. "Rennes is very tough. They put us in a lot of difficulty with their positional game, but we responded well.

"We take this avoidable goal. We were able to stay calm and score before half-time. This goal did us good.

"Behind, we did not let go, we made them doubt. Nico (Pallois) took care of the rest," he added.
