Ghana’s double win over Zimbabwe means Warriors cannot qualify for 2022 FIFA WC

Zimbabwe have seen their dream of qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup dashed after losing twice to Ghana in the October international break.

The Brave Warriors as they are called played against the Black Stars last Friday in Cape Coast in a Group G encounter of the African qualifiers.

Although the team did very well, Ghana proved too strong and cruised to a massive 3-1 win at the end of the game.

Having returned home for the reverse fixture, Zimbabwe again put on a strong performance but unfortunately suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat as well.

Courtesy of the two defeats in the international break, Zimbabwe is out of the race for qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers from Group G.

Results from the international break mean that either South Africa or Ghana has the chance of qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
