Ghana's Emmanuel Boateng confident of more goals

Ghana and Levante striker Emmanuel Boateng is hoping to score more goals for his side after breaking his goal-scoring drought in the Spanish La Liga this season.

The 22-year-old has been one of the club's best players since joining them.

He broke his deadlock after a run of ten games in the Spanish topflight without finding the back of the net.

He bagged his first goal of the campaign in Levante's 2-2 draw against Huesca last Sunday.

Speaking ahead of their home game against Athletico Bilbao, Boateng is confident he will score lots of goals for the Spanish outfit this term.

"I'm very happy, I always ask God to score a goal and I scored my first goal of the season last weekend, I think we're going to do a lot this year, yes," he said in a television interview.

Boateng signed a four-year deal with the La Liga side and on 13 May 2018, he scored first career hat-trick against champions Barcelona.

Levante won the match 5-4, ending the possibility of an unbeaten season for Barcelona.

At the start the season, he struggled to make it into the team due to injury and missed the first two games.

The former Black Satellites forward has to compete with Roger Marti who is Levante’s leading scorer and manager Paco Lopez’s first choice forward.
