Ghana's Kelvin Mensah strikes as Brondby IF beat Vendsyssel in Danish Cup

Ghanaian forward Kelvin Niclas Mensah was on target in Brondby IF's win over Vendsyssel in Danish Cup on Thursday evening.

Brondby IF progressed to the next round of the competition following their 2-0 victory over Vendsyssel at the Nord Energi Arena.

The Yellow and Blue lads took a deserving lead through Mensah's strike on the 29th minute of the game.

Polish international Kamil Wilczek sealed their win with his strike in the dying embers of the match.

The 27-year-old put up an incredible performance, however, he was replaced on the 76th minute of the game.

He made 18 appearances and scored two goals for Brondby IF last season.

He has previously been on trial at Premier League clubs Arsenal and Newcastle United for several laps despite his young age.

He plays the ball with both his right-foot and left-foot and is described by his club as a technical marvel, an elegant offensive player with a wonderful technique that makes him a crowd favourite in addition of a footspeed that makes him uncomfortable to handle for any defender.

Kelvin's father comes from Ghana and his mother hails from Denmark. His brother Jeff Mensah also plays professional football.

He holds both a Ghanaian passport and a Danish passport.
