Portuguese side Moreirense has completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori on loan from Portuguese club Famalicao.

The 24-year-old joins the club on loan for the rest of the season after successful negotiations and passing his medical.

Moreirense has the option to sign Ofori permanently at the end of the season if he impresses the technical handlers of the team.

Ofori has played for West African Football Academy, Leixoes, and Feirense.

Ofori joined the Famalicense club in 2019/20 season, having played only four matches.

The midfielder moved to FC Arouca on loan for more playing time in the 2020/21 season.

He played a key role for the club, featuring in 26 matches and netting one goal in the process.

He was recalled by Famalicao to join the pre-season work of the squad, at the time, guided by Ivo Vieira.

However, Ofori's return to Vila Nova de Famalicão was not a success story.

Ofori joined Israeli club Ashdod on loan in the 2021/22 season, he made 11 appearances for the club.
