Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau was on target for the third time this season in Slovan Bratislava 5-2 thumping of MSK Zilina in the Slovakian top-flight league.

Bratislava went into the game on the back of 11 unbeaten streaks and deservingly took the lead via Artem Sukhotsky strike in the 11th minute before Marin Ljubicic and Andraz Sporar scored on the 31st and 40th minute respectively to make it 3-0 for the hosts.

Pasienky Stadium outfit put the game beyond their opponents in the 42nd courtesy Apau's sweet strike before David Strelec added his name on the scoresheet.

Despite a late charge from the visitors with goals from Robert Bozenik and Filip Kasa, Slovan Bratislava held on to pick the three points.

The 28-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game while his compatriot Benson Anang lasted 79 minutes for the losers.

The right-back joined Slovan Bratislava on a three-year deal in the summer from Slovenian giants NK Olimpija Ljubljana.

He has previously played for SC Veendam, RKC Waalwijk and Belgian side Westerlo.
