Ghana's Mubarak Wakaso to undergo medical in Milan ahead of Jiangsu Suning move

Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso will undergo his mandatory medical at Milan on Monday ahead of his move to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning SC.

Th3 29-year-old has arrived in Italy ahead of proposed switch to the Nanjing Olympic Stadium outfit after fruitful negotiations.

Wakaso, whose contract expires in the summer has failed to agree on a new deal that will keep him at the club for a longer period.

The 29-year-old has been one of the best players at the club since joining them on a three-year deal from Greek side Panathinaikos in 2017.

He has featured in 26 games for Alavés in the Spanish La Liga this term and has been rated as one of the best midfielders in the league alongside his compatriot Thomas Partey.

Wakaso has previously played for Panathinaikos, Elche, Villarreal, Espanyol, Celtic, Las Palmas and Granada.

The tough tackling midfielder has represented Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, as well as four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

In total, he has made 58 appearances for the Black Stars since making his full international debut in 2012 against Malawi in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
