Ghana’s Nana Boateng mutually part ways with MLS side Colorado Rapids

Ghanaian International, Nana Boateng has left Colorado Rapids after the two parties mutually reached an agreement to have the player’s contract terminated.

Checks have revealed that the player initiated the move to leave the club to be able to move to Europe to attend to some urgent family issue.

Executive Vice President and General Manager of Colorado Rapids, Mr. Padraig Smith in a statement thanked the player for giving his all during his time at the club whiles confirming the imminent departure of the player.

“We would like to thank Nana for his service to the Rapids over the two-and-a-half years he was in Colorado”.

“We understand this is a difficult moment for the player and we felt that at this time, it was in the best interest of Nana, his family, and the club to find a solution that allowed Nana to return home. We wish him nothing but the best in the future”, he noted.

The 25-year-old is a former player of Right to Dream Academy and previously played for Norwegian side Strømsgodset. He is expected to get back onto the field when he finishes attending to the pressing family issue.
