Ghana international Nana Bonsu believes Confederation of African Football (CAF) made the right decision to name him the best Goalkeeper in the 2018/2019 Confederation Cup group stage.

The 30-year-old has expressed his happiness about the decision and says it is the right decision considering his impressive performance for his Nigerian club.

Bonsu was picked ahead of Asante Kotoko's Felix Annan and other goalkeepers who made their name in the group stages of the competition.

The Enugu Rangers shot-stopper incredibly made 29 saves for his side which was the highest in the group phase.

“I am very happy to be Caf’s best Goalkeeper in the Group stage of the Confederation Cup and it is a great achievement for me’’ Bonsu told Hello FM.

‘’My coach told me that if am able to maintain my form I will go places.

‘’I believe Caf made no mistake of picking me as the best Goalkeeper and I am sure some players, technical men and match officials can attest to that.’’

When asked whether he has been approached by some clubs both on the continent and outside abroad as a result of his explosive performance in the African inter-clubs competition, he replied by saying no club as contacted him yet, adding he would welcome any good offer.

‘’So far I have not been approached by any team but I am ready to move to any club which comes on board because I have done my part for Enugu Rangers.’’
