Ghanaian international, Samuel Obeng found the back of the net earlier today but unfortunately ended up on the losing side when Deportivo La Coruna beat Real Oviedo 3-2 in the Segunda Division.

The two lower division sides faced off on match week one of the Spanish Segunda B in hopes of bagging their first three points of the campaign.

Playing as the away side, Real Oviedo scored twice but unfortunately had to settle for a disappointing defeat at the hands of Deportivo La Corona at the Estadio de Riazor

Mamadou Kone gave the winners the lead on the 16th minute before Ager Aketxe added a second 10 minutes into the second half.

Michelle Somma’s own goal gave Oviedo confidence which they capitalized on to restore parity on the 69th minute through Samuel Obeng.

Nonetheless, a late goal from Christian handed Deportivo La Corona a 3-2 win to ensure they amass all three points at the end of the day.

Samuel Obeng, 22, impressed and could likely start for his club next weekend when they welcome Lugo to the Estadio Carlos Tartiere.
