The 26-year-old was widely reported to leave the club following limitations to his opportunities but that looks set to change.

The German side have recorded three injuries on the defensive end and have fallen to Jung to play his part as those injured players may not return for a while.

It has been reported that Jan Gyamerah, Klaus Gjasula and Amadou Onana have all suffered injuries in defence.

Jung joined the club in 2014 and was a key player until this season.
