Ghanaian youngster Gilbert Koomson has rejected claims that he signed for Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids. There were earlier media reports that the 22-year-old midfielder has joined Rapids from Norwegian Club Sogndal.
Latest developments have however revealed that Colorado Rapids expressed interest in signing the Ghana international few months ago but the deal broke down after unfruitful negotiations. "It's never true, I couldn't join them [Colorado Rapids] due to some reasons after holding talks with the club" Koomson disclosed to Kickgh.com from his base in Norway
"Am still with Sogndal Fotball and we're currently preparing for the new season."
Koomson made the headlines in Norway with his stupendous performance in the Eliteserien scoring three goals for Sogndal last season with his current contract running out in 2018.
