Ashanti Gold SC forward, Yaw Annor has disclosed that throughout the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, the opponent that gave him a tough time was Accra Lions FC.
The highly-rated forward featured in both matches against the capital-based club in the just-ended season.
Yaw Annor was the hero in the first match when his solitary strike propelled Ashgold to record a narrow 1-0 victory.
In the second meeting at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the forward bagged a brace in a game that ended 2-2.
Speaking to Original FM in an interview, Yaw Annor has revealed that it was tough playing against Accra Lions.
“Accra Lions is my toughest opponent in the Ghana Premier League they were very solid in our home and away game against them,” the forward said.
At the end of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, Yaw Annor has emerged as the golden boot winner with a historic-equalling 22-goal tally.
According to the Miner, he is delighted with the achievement.
“Am very delighted to win the Ghana premier league goal king and equalling My senior Ishmael Addo record it was very difficult league but I fight very hard to win the GPL goal king,” Yaw Annor noted.
