The standing goal post denied Ghanaian defender Derick Luckassen the chance of inspiring his Anderlecht side to a win over Sporting Charleroi in the Belgian Pro League over the weekend when it stopped his header from entering the back of the net.
The Dutch-born who is of Ghanaian descent has been in fine form since joining the Belgian giants from PSV Eindhoven in the summer transfer window.
He was handed a starting role for Anderlecht on Sunday when they hosted Sporting Charleroi in a match week 18 fixture of the ongoing 2019/2020 campaign.
Luckassen was again in fine form and stopped the attacking threat of the opponent on a number of occasions in the first half.
In the second half, he came close to scoring but his header from a corner kick was crashed into the goal post.
Derrick Luckassen lasted the entire duration of the match and emerged as one of the best players.
His compatriots Francis Amuzu and Jeremy Doku were also in action and played their part to help Anderlecht earn a point from the match against Sporting Charleroi.
