Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad dreaming of playing in France

Asante Kotoko and Black Satellites Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has disclosed he harbours the pleasure to play in the French Ligue 1.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper made this known during an interview with Accra based Onua TV.

Danlad was impressive in the just ended U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania, keeping 4 clean sheets and is targeting a move to France.

According to him, most Africans excel in France and he will love to play there.

“My target is to play in Europe, like France and stuff – France is my favourite because there are many black goalkeepers there, and if you are there, you don’t hear any bad thing about goalkeepers there so for me, it’s France that I am really interested in but as a professional footballer, you can’t say that you want a particular place so if you get a deal elsewhere you won’t go,” he said.

The young goalkeeper added that he is yet to decide on his future and his manager will decide on his next destination.

“I work with a management team headed by Yussif Chipsah and he consults me on everything.

“We landed not long ago and we broke camp just today, he’s not told me about moving here nor there but I know he will tell me about any move when we meet.

“Just as people are saying my next move is a loan deal, it can be the opposite, like going outside Ghana, so we are just praying, what God has said is the most important thing,” Danlad added.
