Godfred Saka reveals Karela FC players are starving after owner's death

Former Aduana Stars player Godfred Saka has disclosed that, playing body of Ghana's top-flight side Karela United FC are starving following several months without salary.

According to the defender, since the demise of club Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr.Cobblah Senator Brigidi the players of the Nzemaland have not been paid monthly salary.

“Things have been hard for us since the demise of our owner and bankroller Senator Brigidi,” Saka said this in an interview with Kumasi-based Metro FC.

“We are really suffering as players of Karela United FC because for three months now we’ve not been paid and Christmas is also approaching”, Saka added.

Saka, however added that despite haven't been paid salaries, their football career is at stake and most be Paramount to all things.

“We’re not being paid but we have to concentrate on our careers because if you think about it too much you’ll be killing your own career”.

Godfred Saka joined the Aiyinase team early this year for the 2018/19 season campaign.
