Black Stars Coach Avram Grant insists he has a strong squad capable of producing a good replacement for skipper Asamoah Gyan in the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal clash with DR Congo.
Captain Asamoah Gyan suffered a thigh injury on Wednesday in their last group D game against Egypt and there is fear about his availability for the DR Congo duel.
But the Isreali coach is confident of getting a replacement for Gyan should he fail to make it back in time for the game on Sunday.
" We hope Gyan will play but if not there are other good players in the squad who can equally play his role."
Gyan has been involved in both goals Ghana has scored so far in the competition after he was fouled for a penalty in the game against Uganda and scoring with his head in the second group game against Mali.
Avram Grant has Ebenezer Assifuah and Bernard Tekpetey to choose Gyan's replacement from should the captain fail to make a quick return.
