Great Olympics coach Annor Walker blames Medeama defeat on rain

Great Olympics head coach Annor Walker has blamed Medeama SC's defeat on the heavy downpour in their match week 12 encounter of the on-going Ghana Premier League.

Olympics suffered a 1-0 loss courtesy Prince Opoku Agyemang's 20th minute strike at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

Before the start of the game, a heavy downpour left the pitch in bad state and coach Walker believes that contributed to his side's defeat.

According to him , the rain destroyed the plans he brought from Accra for the game.

"The rain spoil everything. I brought a strategy from Accra and as soon as we got here and it rained, it destroyed all my game plan," he said in a post-match interview.

Also, Medeama SC head coach Samuel Boadu admitted the rain disrupted their flow despite the victory.

""... that's the most important thing whenever you are determined whether good or bad you have to make amends so we tried our possible best even though the one goal was not enough for us but because of the rains, it disturbed us a lot," he said.

The result leaves Great Olympics on the 15th position after 12 matches played thus far.

Olympics will welcome Ebusua Dwarfs to the Accra Sports stadium in match week 13 of the Ghana Premier League as they look to bounce back to winning ways.
