Great Olympics coach Annor Walker expresses readiness to coach Asante Kotoko

Veteran Ghanaian coach, Annor Walker has confirmed his readiness to welcome the opportunity to coach Asante Kotoko.

The record Ghana Premier League champions have dominated the headlines for the wrong reasons after ending the 2020/21 football season trophyless.

The Porcupine Warriors lost the Premier League title to Hearts of Oak and exited at the quarterfinal of the MTN FA Cup.

Kotoko also lost 4-5 on penalty shootout to Berekum Chelsea at the Obuasi Len Stadium.

Head coach of the side, Mariano Barreto has been tipped to leave the club despite signing a year and a half deal with the club prior to the start of the second half of the season.

And Annor Walker, who is the head coach of Great Olympics speaking in an interview confirmed his desire and readiness to coach the club.

"I am ever ready to lead Asante Kotoko as their head coach should they reach out to me, but honestly no official member from the club has called or approached me," he told Kumasi FM.

Barreto replaced Maxwell Konadu a the substantive coach of the club after he was shown the exit in December after losing to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Annor Walker steered the Wonder Club to finish on the 7th position in the just-ended season.
