Great Olympics, Hearts of Oak facing potential relegation ahead of GPL final weekend

The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will climax in the coming weekend when the final round of games is played.

Ghanaian giant, Hearts of Oak is one of the few clubs that can be relegated at the end of the campaign.

The Phobians after playing 33 league matches this season have only managed to secure 42 points.

That leaves the team only two places above the relegation zone and one point above the team in 16th position.

If Hearts of Oak loses to Bechem United in the season's final game, and results from other games do not go their way, the team would be relegated.

As a result, the Phobians must win by all means.

Another club that can potentially be relegated is Great Olympics. The team is currently 16th on the league log with 41 points.

While a win against Real Tamale United could lift the team out of the relegation zone, a lot will depend on results from other matches.

Other clubs that can be relegated after the last round of games include Karela United, Legon Cities, and Heart of Lions.
