Great Olympics poster boy, Gladson Awako says it will be a dream come true to get the chance to play for the Black Stars following his outstanding form in the Ghana Premier League.
The experienced attacking midfielder since the start of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season has been a star and continues to shine whenever he is called into action for his team.
On the back of his NASCO Player of the Month award for December, many believe it is time he is invited into the Black Stars.
Commenting on the calls, Gladson Awako says it will excite him if he is called to play for his national team.
“It will be a dream come true for me to play for the Black Stars. It is something I have been looking forward to all these years and I will grab the opportunity,” the veteran said in an interview with Graphic Sports.
Meanwhile, the exciting forward says he will continue to work hard for Olympics to merit an invite to the Black Stars in the next call-up.
“The coach will decide when the time comes but I will continue working hard to ensure I make the team in their next grouping,” he said.
The Black Stars will resume the qualifiers to the next AFCON tournament in March. If Gladson Awako is able to maintain his form, he is likely to be part of the team.
