Asamoah Gyan is in the starting line up for Northeast United first game of the season against Bengaluru FC this afternoon at the Sree Kanterrava Stadium.
The former Ghana skipper has been given the starting role by Croatian tactician Robert Jarni who has partnered him with Uruguayan Martin Chaves for their debut game against Bengaluru FC
Gyan is expected to use his huge experience to push Northeast United forward as they seek to improve upon their fourth position last season.
The 33-year-old joined the Highlanders on a free transfer after leaving Turkish club Kayserispor.
