Haaland picks Mané as African best player ahead of Ayew, Partey, Salah

Norwegian sensation Erling Braut Håland has named Sadio Mané as his current African best player.

The exciting Borussia Dortmund striker who has taken the German Bundesliga by storm is currently staying at home due to the suspension of the 2019/2020 season as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus.

In a live Instagram video, Haaland has been interacting with fans all over the world as he answered several questions.

When asked who his African best player is, the former Red Bull Salzburg goal poacher admitted that there are many but he will pick Liverpool and Senegal poster boy Sadio Mané.

"There are many good players, but now I think Mané”, the 19-year-old said.

The Senegalese attacker gets the nod over Ghanaian due Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey who have been outstanding for Crystal Palace and Atletico Madrid respectively this season.

Other big names beaten include Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal and well as Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah and Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez.
