The manager of Hannover 96, Kenan Kocak says he is happy Patrick Twumasi is not away on the International break with his national team as he eyes seeing the forward in top form when club football returns.

The exciting attacker joined the German Bundesliga 2 outfit in the summer transfer window from Spanish La Liga outfit Deportivo Alaves.

Unfortunately for Patrick Twumasi, he has struggled to stay 100% fit and is yet to hit top form at his new club.

With the international break coming around after last weekend, the attacker was overlooked by the head coach of the Ghana national team when he named his 23-man squad for friendly matches against Mali and Qatar.

Speaking to Bild, Hannover 96 coach Kenan Kocak has taken positives from the omission of Patrick Twumasi from Ghana’s team.

According to him, the break will be good for the player to ensure he is ready to get going when the international break is over.

"I'm glad he wasn't nominated for the national team. The international break will be good for him. He should be an option for the team as soon as possible”, the gaffer said.

In the recently started German Bundesliga 2 season, Patrick Twumasi has made 2 appearances but is yet to score or provide an assist.
