Ghanaian international Hans Nunoo Sarpei has lauded the German government and the DFL for taking the decision to allow the 2019/2020 football season to continue.
The campaign was suspended for 2 months as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis in the country.
Following several engagements, the German government and the DFL agreed for the season to resume as they hope to smoothly complete the top-tier and the second tier.
According to Ghana’s Hans Nunoo Mensah who plays for Greuther Fürth on loan from VfB Stuttgart, the authorities deserve to be commended for taking that bold decision.
“We must compliment the government & the DFL because it was not an easy decision to make”, the midfielder said in an interview with getfootballnewsgermany.com.
He added, “It feels great to be back on the pitch and to continue the season. I must give a big compliment to the German government and the DFL for making it possible again”.
Last weekend when the campaign resumed, Hans Nunoo Sarpei featured for Greuther Fürth in their 2-2 draw with Hamburg.
