Hapoel Tel Aviv ace Emmanuel Boateng has expressed his excitement after playing for his side in their 3-0 friendly win over Hapoel Ashkelon amid coronavirus pandemic.

A goal apiece from Omri Altman, Iyad Abu Abid, and Michael Oulha handed Hapoel Tel Aviv a convincing victory.

Boateng lasted for 65 minutes in the game which was played in three halves of 35 minutes each.

"To be honest, it was difficult to play soccer yesterday, especially without fans and keeping the health record," the 22-year-old said.

"However, its good to be back playing again.  I wasn't stressed out that we needed to play, because I missed football and enjoyed doing what I love most."

He added, "We were told not to go to the beach today and to the malls because seeing us outside the home would lead to sanctions."

The Israeli top-flight has been suspended since March due to the coronavirus outbreak, however, it is expected to resume on May 30 behind closed doors.

The former Aduana Stars youngster has made 18 appearances so far this term.
