Nsoatreman FC talisman, Abdul Umar Manaf has opened up on what helped the team to win the MTN FA Cup at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The former Hearst of Oak sensation was in action for his club on Sunday evening when the side locked horns with Bofoakwa Tano in the MTN FA Cup final.
In a game played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Bofoakwa Tano led at halftime but conceded late in the second half as the 90 minutes ended in a 1-1 draw.
Nsoatreman FC went on to lift the MTN FA Cup after winning the penalty shootout after extra time.
Speaking to Joy Sports, Umar Manaf stressed that hard work and determination played a key role in the win.
“We are thrilled, it was a tough match but we fought hard and worked together as a unit and that’s what earned us the win.
“Right now we will take some time off to rest before we resume training and prepare for what lies ahead,” Abdul Manaf said.
Following the MTN FA Cup success, Nsoatreman FC will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup.
