Former Hasaacas player Baba Gullit revealed that coach Ben Zolla wasn't happy with him coming into the team because he favoured Ato Bissah.
Gullit became a star at Hasaacas but it was not a rosy journey as he had some personal battles from the moment he was signed.
“Nanabeyin Eyison called me to join Hasaacas but the coach wasn’t happy with my inclusion because my performance benched his favourite player Ato Bissah."
"The fight for this position between Ato Bissah and I made me a target for the local players from Essipong, to the extent of tackling ourselves so hard just to get the Defensive Midfield position. The coach, Ben Zolla pushed Bissah to a different position to earn him a playing time,” he told Angel Sports.
He also added that the conflict went into the pitch and the most notable one was a free kick which he took to keep his team in the league.
"I remember in our last game of the season, we had a free kick and it was a fight between Bissah and I, who should take the kick. The coach shouted at me to leave the ball for Bissah but I refused. Finally I took the kick and scored, which earned us a point to sustain us in the premier league”.
